Karen van Driel, Business Manager Enterprise & Logistics | Loop Technologies

Karen has been a valuable member of the Loop Technologies team for over two decades.

Before joining the company in 2002, Karen studied Sociology and Political Science at Waikato University and then worked in the logistics industry. She first entered the technology and engineering industry through a logistics role at Loop as the Subcontractor Coordinator, and has grown to become a crucial member of the Management Team. As Business Manager for the Enterprise Team at Loop and more recently taking over the management of Logistics, Karen manages customer relationships and works to ensure that the company fulfils one of its core values of building long-term relationship by being easy to work with and making customers lives easy… or at least a bit easier! She is responsible for the operational teams that deliver Loop’s services, including logistics, warehousing, spares, and repair teams, which consists of more than 15 people. Karen enjoys thinking of different solutions that cater to each customer’s specific needs.

During her time at Loop Technologies Karen has been involved in many interesting large-scale projects such as the roll-out of Spark’s cellular network, the Analogue Assurance Project for NZ Police and more recently the Fire and Emergency NZ incident ground control critical communications roll-out. She takes pride in making Loop’s services seamless for customers’ businesses, where everything runs smoothly and without any fuss. Karen’s favourite part of her job is working with customers and seeing the difference that Loop can make to their operations. She especially enjoys working with government clients and helping them provide better services to the community.

Karen is driven by her values of commitment and achievement. She ensures that the company delivers on its promises and meets its deadlines.

Outside of work

Outside of work, Karen enjoys spending time on her lifestyle property, doing gardening and maintenance work. She also has a family bach at Tuateawa in the Coromandel, where she goes to relax and unwind.

Karen is an essential member of the Loop Technologies team, and her commitment to the company’s values and customers is exactly the sort of thing that helps make Loop a leader in its field.
